twoNeeded: School Supplies and Backpacks
Annual School Supply Drive Underway

We're still collecting school supplies and backpacks for the annual School Supply Drive!

Filled backpacks and school supplies for children and youth connected with the Chicago Lights Urban Farm, Summer Day, and Tutoring programs are being collected at morning Coffee Hour on Sundays and at the reception desk during the week. You can also sign up there to fill a backpack for a child, donate school supplies, or help receive, sort, and distribute school supplies and backpacks.

Stop by Coffee Hour this Sunday or visit the School Supply Drive web page for more information about how you can help!

threeReflecting on Hymns
Daily Devotions on Familiar and New Hymns

The current theme of Fourth Church daily devotions is "Reflecting on Hymns of Our Faith," inviting us to reflect on the rich and beautiful expressions of faith that are found in hymns--both hymns treasured and familiar and hymns new to some or all of us.

Each of the hymns can be found in Glory to God, the new Presbyterian Church (USA) hymnal, which Fourth Church will begin using this year on the first Sunday of Advent.

Devotions are available in the literature racks, by email from [email protected], and online.

During Pipe Organ Removal

This past week the removal of the Aeolian Skinner pipe organ and pipes from the Sanctuary began as part of the organ rebuilding project. During this current removal phase, the South Balcony in the Sanctuary is being used as a workspace and will be closed this Sunday, July 20 during worship services.

Over the next weeks, the organ will begin its journey to Missouri, to undergo repair and rebuilding at Quimby Pipe Organ.
