twoA Big Thank-You from the Youth
Annual Bake Sale a Success

To everyone who supported the June 15 Youth Bake Sale, thank you! Your wonderful generosity--whether by baking delicious treats, purchasing them, or making donations--made this our most successful bake sale ever. We raised more than $3,600 to support our upcoming youth work camp trip to Haiti, and throughout the morning we also had opportunity to engage in interested conversation about the meaningful work that will happen there. For your support of our efforts in these and so many other ways, thank you!

If you missed the homemade goodies, you'll have another opportunity to support the July 11-19 trip to Haiti: we'll be hosting a Summer BBQ Party at the church on Wednesday, July 9 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the courtyard. Festivities include BBQ, live music from BLT, and root beer floats. We hope to see you there!

Time:

     Wednesday, July 9, 5:30-8:30 p.m.

Place:

     Michigan Avenue courtyard

nineTravel to Colombia on a Mission Trip
Explore the Country's Culture and Microfinance

There's still time to register for the mission trip to Colombia and be immersed in the country's culture and the lives of those who benefit from the microfinancing programs of Opportunity International.

This mission trip, cosponsored by Fourth Church and held September 21-26, will offer opportunity to see how Colombian churches are coming alongside local people to build income-generating microbusinesses to help sustain their families and community. During this trip, participants will also experience how poverty robs people of their dignity and dreams and will witness the hope and transformation that Opportunity International brings to people through microfinancing.

The deadline to register for this mission trip is Monday, July 21. Registration information is available online.
