A Women's Retreat

"Taste and See": January 25

Women of all ages are invited to explore these questions at "Taste and See," a retreat for women, on Saturday, January 25 in the Gratz Center. Participants will engage their senses, as well as their hearts and minds, through a Bible study in large and small groups, composition of prayer, meditation with images, and a labyrinth walk.
The half-day retreat will be led by Fourth Church's women in ministry--Joyce Shin, Judy Watt, Vicky Curtiss, and Liz Nickerson--with special sessions led by women of the congregation.
To register (required), contact Anne Ellis by this coming Wednesday, January 22.
Time: Saturday, January 25
Place: 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in the Gratz Center Back to top

This Sunday during morning worship services, Jim Kulich, chairperson of the Interfaith Resource Committee, and Karen Danielson, the Executive Board Secretary and Interfaith Committee Coordinator of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC), will present the Covenant between the Presbytery of Chicago and the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago, which was passed by the CIOGC and the Presbytery of Chicago on June 18, 2013. The first covenant of its kind in the Presbyterian denomination nationally, it is, for Fourth Presbyterian Church, an expression of both a trusting friendship that has been fostered over the past seven years and our hope for an abiding relationship in the future.
