Hear Me Roar: The Study of the Book of Daniel

"The Handwriting on the Wall" ~ Daniel 5:1-31

This is the great story of the hand appearing at a drunken banquet, when the fate of the king was sealed.  Daniel is called into the banquet hall, interprets the handwriting, telling the king his kingdom is about to fall, and that very night the city is destroyed.  Lessons for us to learn center on the necessity of honoring that which is sacred to God, which the king did not do; remembering again that God is sovereign and in control of everything that happens; and remembering how one life can make a huge difference in this world - your life and mine.

This group is an extension of the Prayer Concerns posted in the weekly bulletin, where we pray for the needs of the church and community is lifted up in prayer.  We will meet on Sunday, June 29 at 9 am just before Sunday service in the classroom near the front entrance of church.  All are welcome and encouraged to join in and bring your prayer requests.

Join us on Friday, July 25 beginning at 6 pm with a Bouncy House, Games & Cookout, the "Snake Man" at 6:40 pm, followed by a *Talent Show at 7 pm and afterwards at 8 pm, we will have a bonfire with s'mores! You can pick up an audition registration form in the church on the table in the Sanctuary. The cost to enter a single act is $10.  There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! *Talent Show Auditions will be held on June 28, 9:30 - 12 pm or by appointment.  All proceeds will benefit CCK.

The books have been ordered and the discussion will meet on Wednesday, July 30 and August 6 at 7 pm.
