Hear Me Roar: The Study of the Book of Daniel

"Eyes Raised to Heaven" ~ Daniel 4:1-37

This is another great story in Daniel where Daniel once again interprets a dream for the king.  God warns the king, through the dream and Daniel's interpretation, that his arrogance and pride will be his downfall.  The king initially listens and then becomes pride-filled over "his great accomplishments," and God "brings him down."  There are great lessons in this chapter for all of us to learn when it comes to carrying pride in our hearts and lives.  We need to always be aware of the danger of pride, and always "lift our eyes" to heaven and give glory to God, which is what the king did, and God restored his sanity.

Church Staff and the Sabbath

Consistory would like to ask the congregation to please be mindful that Sunday is a day of worship for all of us including the Church Staff.  While it may be tempting to ask the Church Staff to take care of something when we see them on Sunday, please remember that they are at Church to worship and not to be doing their regular job.  If you have any pressing concerns that need to be addressed on Sunday, please talk to an Elder or Deacon.  Thank You!

Divorce Care Workshop

The Divorce Care Worship began on June 2 and will continue through the summer.  This is a workshop on Mondays from 7-8:30 pm here at DGCC.  If you know someone who could benefit from the teaching and fellowship of this workshop, please pass this information along to them.  To register, please contact the office.
