This Week's Message

HEAR ME ROAR: A Study of the Book of Daniel

 "God's Man in a Crisis" ~ Daniel 2:1-30

This is the first dream of Nebuchadnezzar that speaks of future kingdoms to come.  This week we will look at the dream, and then next week the interpretation.  Nebuchadnezzar demanded that his counselors tell him the dream, and then interpret it for him - an impossible request.  However, we will see that Daniel knew the only Source to do this was the living God. Daniel cried out to God, giving Him worship and praise, and God revealed the dream to him.  When we face times of crisis, there is only One Place to which we can turn - the living God.  May we be as wise as Daniel in those times.

Final Week ~ Elim Military Kits

Sunday, May 18 is the final day to turn in your Elim Military Kits donations and thank you notes.  Thank you for equipping Elim's adults to serve in His kingdom and for blessing our troops serving around the world. If you have any questions, please see Pastor Howard, Dan Draayers, Cathy Draayers or Shawna Reidy. You can see responses from military personnel on their Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/ElimMilitaryKits

What happens with these donations? The completed envelopes are brought to Elim Christian Services.  Elim's adults assemble the number of Military Kits sponsored; Elim's adults receive the notes to the military personnel in the Military Kit.  The USO of Illinois then delivers the Military Kits to designated servicemen and women.

How will I know that my Elim Military Kit got sent? Elim will provide a letter, within a couple of weeks, acknowledging your donation.  They will also be asking each military recipient to send a note of thanks back to churches who sent them care packs.

Do you have to do a separate envelope for each Military Kit we sponsor? No, you may include your full donation in one envelope and with one completed donor form if you wish.  But we do ask that you complete additional notes of encouragement from the Elim worker and for the military recipient for each Military Kit that you sponsor.
