"HEAR ME ROAR ~ A Study of the Book of Daniel" Sermon Series

"Destiny Determining Decisions" ~ Daniel 1:8-21

Daniel and his three friends face a challenge right from the get go as they are asked to eat food that has been sacrificed to idols.  Because of their faith, they work with the steward, who gives them a period of testing, at the end of which they look better than all the other men fed at the king's table. There are decisions in life that will absolutely determine our destiny, and we are wise to learn from Daniel's example, so that our destiny is a Godly destiny.

Kick-Off Sunday ~ Elim Military Kits

Today is the first day of the Elim Military Kits campaign.  Please take home a brochure and envelope with you today.  You will have the next two weeks to return it to us at DGCC.  Please help us bless as many troops as possible with your gift of $30 per kit.  These kits of non-perishable food items are a tremendous blessing to the men and women overseas.  They also bless the men and women at Elim's Adult Services by providing meaningful work.  Please fill out the gift information completely for accurate receipting of your tax-deductible donation.  If you have any questions, please see Pastor Howard, Dan Draayers, Cathy Draayers or Shawna Reidy.

You Gotta Keep Dancin' ~ Discussion Group

Join us for a new discussion group led by Pastor Howard Hoekstra.  The three-part series began on Wednesday, April 30 at 7 pm and Saturday, May 3 at 9 am in the church office  Based on a book by the same name, Pastor Howard will engage participants to choose joy in the midst of life's pains and struggles.  The author, Tim Hansel, starts out by saying, "I want this book to offer some hope to those who suffer, for whatever reason, but I don't intend it as 'advice'."  Books are available at Christian Book Distributors or Amazon.
