Saving City College. One of the demands of CCSF's faculty union and its SaveCCSF coalition has just been met: the U S Department of Education has begun an investigation of the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) itself. Meanwhile, the ACCJC, which has threatened CCSF with ultimate closure, will go public with its ruling on the college's accreditation status by July 8. In response to that announcement, there is a
march to the Dept of Education scheduled for 4pm July 9th.
