Greetings!
As you may know, there is a deadline looming for our beloved City College: A report is due March 15th detailing CCSF's progress on several fronts, to avoid losing accreditation. At our own Club's world-café meeting in January, education was way up there among issues people wanted to address. This next meeting should afford you that chance.

Major takeaways from forum on gun violence
Many thanks to the three fantastic panelists: Robyn Thomas, Executive Director of Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence; Captain Robert O'Sullivan of the Bayview Police Station; San Francisco Assistant District Attorney Mike Maffei. This was not a mere wringing of hands; there are things we can do. ● Show elected officials that you are watching; until now the anti-gun control side has been much louder and stronger. Thank the President and other leaders for their efforts to reduce gun violence. See sidebar for phone numbers, and links to web sites through which you can email.
● Keep up with the latest proposed legislation. Check individual lawmakers' web sites, and/or Law Center. Keep legislators' attention focused on this issue. Also at the meeting: 2013 PHDC Officers were elected by acclamation.
