Greetings!

Thanks to every one of you who registered voters, made phone calls, walked precincts, knocked on doors, input data, donated money, and, all together, won on so many levels.

Unlike the Giants' win though, this is not the end of something. It's the beginning of a whole new set of opportunities. Let's stay together and keep the momentum going; read on for ways to do just that.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Joni Eisen, President

Potrero Hill Democratic Club

But first: Props to PHDC on Voter Registration
You really do make a difference

At the last regular meeting of the SF DCCC, Potrero Hill Democratic Club was recognized for registering more Democratic voters than any other chartered Dem club! Congrats to everyone who helped our Club achieve this - at Sunday Streets, the Mime Troupe, and/or the Potrero Hill Festival. You should feel proud.

NEXT PHDC MEETING: SOMETHING DIFFERENT Tuesday, December 4th
State Capitol Exploring new possibilities with electeds and insiders

Our next meeting is still in the planning stages - we don't have a complete confirmed list of special guests yet - but we wanted to make sure you know about it now.

The results of the election were amazingly gratifying - especially the unanticipated gift of a Democratic super-majority in both of California's state houses. Of course the meeting will be "about" that. But you will not find pundits lecturing a passive audience.

Instead, the invited politicos will each speak briefly, then interact directly with constituents - you - in a series of small round-table discussions, then end by discussing what they've heard. The aim is to zero in on what goals are most important to all participants, and then to determine how best we can work together to move forward in the new, more hopeful political environment in California and beyond.

We are excited to have Assemblyman Tom Ammiano confirmed to attend. Other featured guests will be announced as soon as they confirm. Stay tuned: Check our web site or Facebook page.

Say goodbye to the Axis Caf

Potrero Boosters Neighborhood Association has graciously invited us to party with them again this year - so come to eat, drink, and celebrate the season with your neighbors. Very soon thereafter, the lovely Axis Caf will be demolished in the face of encroaching development.

This is an opportunity to join PHDC for 2013 (anticipated new membership category: Household - $25 for the first member, $10 for each additional person at same address), and consider joining the Boosters as well. You are welcome to bring friends who may be interested in joining either club.  "Potrero Hill 94107" t-shirts will be available for your gift-giving pleasure.

Sat Dec 8 from 3:30 to 6:30pm
