Greetings!
What a night! Riding east on 17th from the debate party on Market St, stopping by every screaming-fan-spilling bar on the way home to check on the game (8-0 when I started, 9-0 and starting to drizzle by the time I rolled by the Yankee at Connecticut & 17th), I realized once again just how much I love this city.
With the debates and the playoffs over and our side(s) victorious, it's full speed ahead on all fronts.
Links to the campaigns we support are in the endorsement list at left. Many need your help against Big Money, often coming in from out of state. Please go to the web sites of issues you especially care about and help out in any way you can. Thanks.
World Series starts Wednesday night. 14 days till the election.

IT'S GET-OUT-THE-VOTE (GOTV) TIME
| | Two crazy weeks to get it done
There may be one or two undecided voters still out there, but who cares about them anymore? It's crucial now to get OUR voters to the polls - everywhere. Here's how you can get involved: - Today (Tuesday) from 6 to 8pm is the second-to-last phone bank on Mississippi St. Next Tuesday 10/30 will be the last one. RSVP for today here. RSVP for next Tuesday (10/30) here.
- Get Out The Vote efforts last weekend resulted in nearly i million calls by NorCal OFA volunteers. Take that momentum into next weekend (10/27, 10/28) and the final 4 days of GOTV (11/3 - 11/6). Please sign up for the most convenient GOTV location by clicking on one of these: Democratic Headquarters, 2278 Market at Noe, or West Bay Conference Center, 1290 Fillmore at Eddy.
- Want to call from home in your jammies? Call SF Democratic Party Chair Mary Jung or Exec Director Ally Hergenraeder at Democratic Headquarters, (415) 626-1161, or email info@sfdemocrats.org and they will fix you up with a script and phone lists.
There will NOT be a regular PHDC meeting Tuesday, November 6th - we will all be too busy getting out the vote!

UPCOMING
| | Hill History Night, December meeting, Axis's Last Gasp
The 13th Annual Potrero Hill History Night & barbecue happens Saturday, November 3rd at the International Studies Academy, beginning at 5:30. If anyone would like to help hand out endorsement slate cards or campaign info, reply to this email. PHDC's regular December meeting will be at the regular time & place - imagine that. First Tuesday, December 4th, 7pm at the Neighborhood House. The Potrero Boosters have again invited PHDC to co-sponsor their Holiday Party at Axis Café. It will be Saturday, December 8th, time TBD. Demolition of the lovely Axis will begin in January, so this is one of the very last events you will get to attend there.

PHDC at the POTRERO HILL FESTIVAL
| | Wonderful Saturday on the Hill
At the PHDC booth, we registered a dozen voters, mostly Democrats and some first-timers, and sent many others to register online before yesterday's deadline. There were numerous discussions about the ballot measures, and tons of people grabbing and appreciating our door-hanger "cheat sheets." They also took posters and lit from our endorsed campaigns.
We signed people up for our mailing list and gave out membership info & forms. We sold so many "Potrero Hill 94107" t-shirts (union-made in USA) that we need to order more for Christmas. Major wind threatened everyone's displays around 3pm, but our valiant volunteers kept our stuff from flying off. Altogether a hugely successful outing, and we are honored to have been able to support this festival and our beautiful, beloved Neighborhood House. Thanks to everyone who helped out.
