We are pleased to announce that on Wednesday, January 2nd, 2013, President Obama signed the 2013 Defense Authorization Act. As you recall, the bill contains the re-authorization of the AFG and SAFER grant programs as well as the U.S. Fire Administration. Attached is a copy of the legislative text of the AFG re-authorization. The bill authorizes $750 million annually for each of the AFG and SAFER grant programs through Fiscal Year 2017.
We would like to thank members of FAMA and FEMSA for their hard work and commitment towards ensuring the extension of these programs.
