On December 18, 2012, the House and Senate conference committee reached agreement on the 2013 Defense Authorization Act, including acceptance of the re-authorization provisions for AFG, SAFER and the U.S. Fire Administration. The bill will now be sent back to the House and the Senate for a final vote before being sent to the President for signature. It is expected that both chambers will vote in favor of the bill.
