Courtney Martin talks about the future of gender justice at "Feminism's Frankensteins" on Oct. 28th.

Wow - what a great event last week! In case you weren't able to join us we want to share with you the inspirational remarks from Courtney Martin and the very visible leadership of women in our community.

Not only did we hear about the future of feminism and gender equity, we also heard what younger women can learn from the first and second waves of women's rights activists. Courtney made a strong case for putting down our differences and forming bonds across races, generations, and socioeconomic lines. We were also inspired by the first ever Susan M. Lewin Women's Leadership Award given to Nilda Aponte, Bridgeport Network Director at All Our Kin

The generous support of women like you for the Community Fund for Women & Girls creates these special programs and - most importantly - promotes the social and economic advancement of women and girls throughout Greater New Haven.
