Equestrian Yoga

with Danny Chapparo

   Equestrian Yoga

Equestrian Yoga merges the practice of yoga with riding a horse!  It is a wonderful opportunity for deepening your connection with the horse, as well as your inner self. This is a fun and relaxed 90 min. on and off the horse Equestrian Yoga Practice, combining yoga and natural horsemanship. If you want to attend the event and simply observe the sections with a horse that is an option as well!

All levels of riders, yogis & yoginis are welcome! No riding experience is necessary, although you should be in good general health. Be prepared for various weather conditions. All riders must sign a release-of-liability waiver.

Presenter

Danny was born and raised in Germany. Her love of Colorado and its great outdoors motivated her to move to Denver in 1995. Danny was introduced to Yoga and Pilates in 2001 and has since then been an avid yoga practitioner. Her training and personal experience includes many styles of yoga, including Anusara, Ashtanga, Hatha, Power Yoga, and Restorative Yoga.

Danny incorporates her horsemanship and equestrian background into her teaching and specializes in Equestrian Yoga. Her style is energetic and enthusiastic and reflects her experience in all of these types of yoga practices, with a strong emphasis on proper alignment.  Danny studied with Julie Goodnight, a 4-star Parelli trainer, Ty Weber, and several other Natural Horsemanship trainers.

Her goal is to create a fun, yet safe environment and empower her students to relax, develop greater strength, and improve flexibility.

Danny is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200) through Yoga Alliance and has studied with John Friend, Baron Baptiste, Tias Little, Jamie Allison, and Desiree Rumbaugh.

Danny holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, and Master of Business Administration.

  Shari's Hearts

Greetings Dear Sweet Yogi's,
I hope you are having an amazing summer! So far, mine has been anything but dull. Changes, changes, changes ... but all for the good so far it seems. Taking time to just BE and go inside for reflection seems to so important right now.

Did you get your retreat postcard in the mail for our August 2nd & 3rd Nurture, Nature, Self-Reflection & Sharing retreat at Sunrise Ranch? Details about the retreat, including the retreat agenda and registration details, can be found at:
As expected the retreat is filling up fast, so if you have not yet registered please do so soon as we expect to completely fill this retreat!

Do you have a story to tell, or article on a topic related to Yoga that you would like to share? How about a favorite recipe, book review, favorite music, or something along those lines? We now have a "Share Your Own Blog Post" page on our website where members can easily submit Blog posts for the YTOC Website. Just look under Blog on the toolbar to find it.

Check out the "Mudras for Healing and Transformation - A must have new book for every yogi" book review created by member Nancy Levinson earlier this week.

I hope to see many of you on July 13th at our Equestrian Yoga event! Even if you don't ride horses you can come and observe this amazing practice.

Shanti, Shalom, Salaam
Peace, Peace, Peace

Yours in Service,
Shari Turney
