Are you Hanger-Savvy?
|
Get rid of those wire hangers.
When you bring clothes home from the dry cleaner, throw out the metal hangers. Better yet, recycle them! You can bring them back to your dry cleaner to recycle the next time you visit. Also, remove the plastic bags that your service uses. They tend to trap the chemicals used in the cleaning process, which is not good for your clothing.
Don't mix hangers.
Hang all similar types of clothing on the same kind of hanger. Use large wooden hangers for suits. Use specific hangers with clips for skirts and long hanging pants, if you choose to hang all your pants this way. Plastic hangers as well as slim-line hangers work well. They do not tangle and help guard against overcrowding. Throw out tiered hangers. They are too difficult to use. We are all about a simple system!
