Rhode Island is home to the largest Liberian population in the country. Citizens of Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra-Leone, Ghana, and other countries have been affected.

All Saints' Memorial Church and the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island will host a panel of experts to discuss the Ebola outbreak in West Africa. 

 

Panel experts will include:
 

Dr. Maria Melino, an infectious disease physician
 

Elaine Williams, a local nurse who has been working with Rhode Island's Liberian community


Bill McBorrough, a local African with many friends and family in affected areas


Donald Cunnigen, Professor of Sociology at URI, will moderate the panel

 

There will be panel discussions on health and safety, tips on how to communicate with family and friends in affected areas, and a Q&A with the panelists. 

Donations will be accepted for
Episcopal Relief and Development.
