Faith, belief and a complete trust in God.....A very tall order.  My best example of an enduring faith and an abiding love for God, came from my mother.  Her gentle humility and steadfast faith sustained me my whole life.  When my mother passed 11 years ago, her faith carried me through one of the biggest losses I had ever experienced.  She appeared to me over a dozen times in my dreams offering comfort, quietness and even a sense of humor.  My father's faith after losing my Mom still sustains me.  Albert Einstein wrote that "There are two ways to live your life: one as if nothing is a miracle or as if everything is a miracle."  I choose to welcome those little miracles into my life daily.  Jesus shared countless miracles in the New Testament.  His Spirit continues to inform and challenge me on a daily basis.  A prayer that holds me up when I am facing a big challenge is this one by St. Teresa of Avila:

Let Nothing Disturb Thee

Nothing affright thee

All things are changing

God never changeth

Patient Endurance Attaineth to all things

Who God Possesseth

In Nothing is wanting

Alone God Sufficeth.    Amen

May that Spirit never waiver or diminish.  May I love it completely.
