Set Design Workshop

with John Eslick

April 4th from 10AM to 1PM

A well thought-out set design can enhance the storytelling of the theatrical production -- whether it's a bare stage, a simple three-wall room, or an elaborate multi-section spectacular set. This class will go over the process of how to make a set unique and practical to each show. We'll also cover types of materials, budgeting, and scheduling, among many other things. Best of all, you'll have fun and be creative!

Are you interested in helping to get our name out into the community? Do you like organizing, socializing, or teaching -- or even all of the above? Conejo Players is in need of folks to help drive our Outreach Committee! We're looking for both a Co-Chair and several other volunteers to assist in identifying and/or leading projects. We have lots of great ideas -- and would welcome more -- but need people to help carry them out.

We're looking for a variety of skills -- any one or any combination of the following: Organization; community involvement; knowledge of the theatre community; knowledge of community organizations/schools; ability to man booths at events; ability to set up / strike booths at events; and ability to make calls, send letters, schedule meetings, etc.  If you are interested in participating, we have a job for you!

Time commitment: Generally, the Outreach Committee meets one evening per month, plus leading/attending events as needed.
