SPAMALOT Featured on the Radio
Be sure to tune your dial to KVTA AM 1590 this SATURDAY at 2:00 PM - our very own Rachael Pugh and Miriam Durrie-Kirsch will be guests on The Kim Pagano Show, discussing our currently-running smash production of SPAMALOT!

Tune in to hear some great tidbits about the show and to support the longest-running theatre in the Conejo Valley!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Miriam Durrie-Kirsch
(SPAMALOT Choreographer)
started her training as a dancer/performer at the age of seven. Her most inspirational instructors were Stanley Holden, Doug Caldwell, Keith Cliffton, and Dan Durrie. After graduating from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, she went on to work as a professional dancer in musicals in SoCal and her favorite roles include Velma in Chicago and Peggy in 42nd Street. She went on to work as dance/theatre instructor at several dance schools and put up her own theatre productions and was director of The San Fernando Valley Youth Ballet. In recent years, Miriam has had the pleasure of choreographing several shows at Conejo Players Theatre and High Street Arts Center, including directing and choreographing Singin' in the Rain for Conejo Players.

Rachael Pugh (SPAMALOT Music Director) is a classically trained singer with an education in music theory. She is self-taught on piano, bass, and guitar. Over the last five years, she has taken on such roles as Music Director, Producer, Pit Musician, and Actor. In addition to her theatrical endeavors, she has been lucky enough to play, sing, and record within various bands throughout California. In 2012, Rachael was honored to be named "Best Featured Actress in a Play (Local Production)" by BroadwayWorld.com for her work as Anne Deever in All My Sons.

Kim Pagano (Host) is a wife, a mother of four, and so much more... She is involved in her neighborhood and community, and especially school organizations for her kids. Each of her children are following their own dreams. Kim has been a Hair Therapist for years, as well as the host of her own radio show, "The Kim Pagano Show, Positive Talk Radio." She has also created her own Women's Support Group, where she focuses on positive topics that are near and dear to their hearts, making quality relationships to grow on. She firmly believes that "many hands make little work" - the more people involved in any project the easier it should be.

And don't forget our
"Arms... We Mean Alms for the Poor"
FOOD DRIVE!

"We dine well here in Camelot, we eat ham and jam and Spam a lot!" So singeth the merry Knights of the Round Table in "Monty Python's SPAMALOT," currently playing at Conejo Players Theatre! (And did you hear? Monty Python is reuniting next year! We like to think our critically acclaimed addition to "SPAMALOT" history had something to do with it. You never know!)

While Spam might not be appearing at many holiday spreads during these last few weeks of 2013, we here at CPT realize that not everyone can "dine well"... even having a holiday spread at all is a luxury.

So, in honor of our hope that families all over Ventura County have meaningful celebrations of love and family this season -- and with fish-schlapping thanks that the Pythons are getting back together -- CPT is instituting a FOOD DRIVE for the remainder of "SPAMALOT"'s run. And YOU can help!

Bring a donation of non-perishable food items (y'know, ones that aren't of the "not quite dead yet" variety!) for our "Arms... We Mean Alms for the Poor" Food Drive. And for your Knight-like altruism, you get something back -- either $2 off your ticket price (if you buy your tickets at the Box Office), or a $2 credit at our snack bar!

Donations will be sent to FOOD Share -- Ventura! Established in 1983 as a 501c3 non-profit, FOOD Share is a critical member of our community in providing food and support to the hungry of Ventura County. FOOD Share distributes over 9 million pounds of nutritious food per year via our 150+ non-profit partners, government programs, and outreach programs. FOOD Share, along with their partners, is dedicated to alleviating the critical issue of hunger.

HOW TO DONATE:
  1. Show your non-perishable, not-"not dead yet" food item at the Box Office window.
  2. Place said non-perishable, not-"not dead yet" food item in the wagon located nearby.
  3. Request either a $2 discount on your ticket* or get a voucher worth $2 at our snack bar!
*Advance ticket purchases only qualify for the $2 credit at the snack bar.
No refunds from the Box Office.

It's that easy! You'll be helping families all over the county, and getting a little something special in return! What could be better?

So join us at one of the remaining, laugh-a-minute "SPAMALOT" performances -- and don't forget that non-perishable food item! (And yes, we'll even accept Spam!)
