Damn Yankees revolves around Joe Boyd - a typical middle-aged man who is totally addicted to baseball. Every baseball season is more painful than the last because his team, the Washington Senators, always loses to those "damn" New York Yankees. Joe ends up making a pact with the Devil himself that allows him to turn into young, handsome slugger Joe Hardy. Hardy eventually becomes the savior of the Washington Senators and a star in the Major Leagues. Problem is, Joe has also agreed to let the Devil have his soul - forever! Luckily, the deal included an escape clause that allows him to go back to his normal life. But after great success as a baseball player and various attempts by the Devil to convince Joe to remain young, will he decide to return to his devoted wife?
