GETTING HONEST . . .
I had big plans to tell you once again all the reasons why you should come to the NH Conference for Women on November 13th for the education, and all the things you would learn, how you would expand your horizons, how you would learn tools to catapult your success, blah, blah, blah. And then I thought, "Leslie, tell the women what they really want to know." So here goes . . .

YOU WILL HAVE FUN.

And don't girls just really want to have fun? Cyndi Lauper said we do, and I agree.

This conference is an EXPERIENCE. And aren't we more likely to learn something new when we are perky, alert, inspired and engaged? YUP. You can tell your boss you are taking the day off to learn - and you will - but you will be tickled pink in the process. And because I'm being honest - be forewarned, with our brand colors of pink, black, white and now lime green, it will be dripping in shades of pink (nauseating, I know, but I take the brand to an extreme. I can't help it).

So education, dynamic women, and feminine and overly-pink decor are just the tip of the iceberg. We have delicious food, over 60 vendors selling and sharing cool things, chair massages, roundtable discussions, the Cool Chick Canteen (a/k/a the bar), and even chocolate! And we might even shake what our momma gave us.

NH Conference Horizontal Come join us. Pretty please!

Hugs and oodles of good wishes,
Leslie Sturgeon

Professional Clothing Drives Kicking
Off at the NH Conference for Women!

Our member and pal Melissa Laverty of Tax Services of Londonderry is spearheading a clothing drive to benefit Dress for Success Worcester. It kicks off at the Conference! All the details are HERE.

Do you have extra business attire to share with someone just starting her career? Need an excuse to clean out your closet this Fall?

Join us and Tax Services of Londonderry in supporting this international not-for-profit organization that promotes the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support, and career development tools to help women thrive in work and in life.

All donations are tax-deductible.  Dress for Success provides interview suits and professional attire to disadvantaged women entering the work-force.  We ask that all donations be clean, work-appropriate and in good, nearly new condition.

For those of you coming to the Conference, we will have a room located near the parking garage for you to make easy drop offs!

Volunteers and sponsors are needed as well! Contact Melissa Laverty at [email protected] if you have any questions. Also visit their website at www.tslnh.com/believe.

Another Note from Leslie Sturgeon
WIW Founder & Visionary

I am often asked "what is Women Inspiring Women and why did you create it?" Here's the reason . . .

I am the woman I am today because of the other women I met along my journey! Plain and simple truth. As a young 22-year-old entrepreneur, I knew that in order to succeed I needed to learn from those who blazed a trail before me, not just from my parents who were life-long business owners. It was 1989 when I started my first service business and in the small community of the Lakes Region there were really no professional organizations just for women. To hone my leadership skills and give back to the community that had given so much to me, I joined Altrusa International of Meredith. Much like Rotary, Kiwanis and Lions, this organization was focused on fundraising and providing service to the area residents in a multitude of ways. That was one of the best decisions of my life - and I continued this adventure for the next 20 years, including serving 6 years as President. Continue reading . . .
