John Heft Speaks on Pollution Insurance for Oil & Gas Industry
Pollution exposures in the Oil/Gas/Energy industry are often the elephant in the room. Many times, the subject is avoided or insufficient solutions are recommended to Insureds to satisfy their need to get "something" in the policy.  Recently, New Day's John Heft sat down with Stephanie Jones of Insurance Journal to talk about pollution insurance specifically in regards to the oil and gas industry.  In the article titled "Stand-Alone Pollution Insurance Undersold in the Oil Patch," John discusses Energy General Liability and Control of Well policies that "typically cover pollution caused by sudden and accidental events."  However, John says that risks often include pollution exposures that are not considered "sudden and accidental" creating coverage gaps for many oil and gas related operations.  Read the complete article here or to learn more about pollution policies for your oil and gas clients contact John at 609.298.3516 ext. 105 or john.heft@newdayunderwriting.com.
