WCA / Town & Country Disposal Yard Waste Collection Update.
City of Fairway Staff recently met with the Regional Manager from WCA/Town & Country Disposal (WCA) to discuss the on going issues with waste collection in the City of Fairway. As previously noticed, WCA/Town & Country Disposal was recently sold and the new operations management (Waste Corporation of Missouri) is in the process of addressing operational and staffing challenges. WCA has reported that they are very focused on hiring and currently have several new drivers that are in the process of training. For the safety of our community WCA is ensuring that the new drivers have received Department of Transportation (DOT) clearance and are following the DOT regulations before placing them into service. At this time, WCA is making every effort to safely complete the collections in Fairway on Mondays. However, until the new drivers are fully trained collections may not be completed within the working hours on Monday. If collections are not completed on Monday WCA will return to the area on Tuesday morning to finish all collections. Please continue to place all items at the curb in time for Monday collections.
WCA will be mailing the attached letter to each residence in Fairway regarding the service delivery challenges they are currently experiencing.

WCA will be servicing Fairway on Monday, May 30th, Memorial Day.
Please continue to place your trash, recycling, and yard waste at the curb for collection on Monday.
If you experience any service issues, please contact Fairway City Hall at 913-262-0350 x0 or contact WCA directly at kccustomercare@wcamerica.com.
