Mission Road Water Main
Project - Update
May 18, 2016

WaterOne has updated the progress of their work on Mission Road. As of May 17th they have 800ft of water main remaining to install out of the original 4,800ft, and plan to have the remaining 800ft installed by the end of this week weather permitting. Following the completion of the water main installation they will be finishing the tie in to the existing water mains at 61st Terrace, 62nd Street, and 63rd Street. They will also be completing changing the remaining residential services over to the new water main during this time. The anticipated completion date for WaterOne's part of the project is the first week of June. The City of Fairway anticipates starting the mill and overlay after WaterOne completes their part of the project; however a starting date has not been determined.

In the course of the Mission Road project WaterOne discovered an unrelated issue with the water main on Eastvale. While they have crews on site they will be addressing that problem, which is not uncommon, so you may see equipment on Eastvale between Mission and Reinhardt. They are not digging but are opening up the existing meter pits to get access to the problem that will allow them to extend the life of the main.
