Fairway Parks & Recreation seeking lifeguards and snack bar attendants!
If you haven't heard, the KC metro is among the many areas across the country experiencing a significant lifeguard shortage! Many cities are struggling to find enough lifeguards for the summer. Fairway is still seeking about 10 lifeguards for the upcoming summer. Being a lifeguard comes with some great perks, including:
- Full reimbursement for the cost of lifeguard certification upon successfully completing the first season at Fairway
- Free re-certifications each year
- A free individual membership that can be applied toward the cost of a family membership (all staff receive resident rates)
- Free uniforms, including t-shirt, swim suites and a whistle
- Flexible hours
- Competitive starting wage at $8.75/hour with 50 cent increases for each returning summer
Because of the new 16 years of age requirement for snack bar, we are also seeking additional snack bar attendants! Whether you're a student, a school teacher or someone who's retired and looking for something to do during the summer (while making money), working in the comfort of the air conditioned snack bar might be just right for you! Snack Bar Attendant perks include:
- A free individual membership that can be applied toward the cost of a family membership (all staff receive resident rates)
- Free snack bar t-shirts
- Flexible hours
- Starting wage at $7.25/hour with 50 cent increases for each returning summer
