Holiday Open House 
Enjoy the spirit of the season during the annual Holiday Open House at the Shawnee Indian Mission State Historical Site  with 1850s decorations, entertainment, children's craft making and refreshments.  Free and open to the public.

Saturday, Dec. 5, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

9:30 AM - St. Agnes Parish Children's Choir
10:30 AM - Hammers North (a hammered dulcimer group)
12:00 PM - The Westwood View School Choir
1:00 PM - The Strolling Strings

3:30 PM - Kaw Valley Shape Note Singers
 
Make an outing of the day!  Pick out your tree and greenery in the Mission Tree lot (all proceeds benefit the Shawnee Indian Mission Foundation & Boy Scout Troop 192).  These are the best trees you can find anywhere!  
Then come inside to warm yourselves with hot cider while you enjoy the entertainment.  Visit the Mission Gift Shop for unique holiday giving.  Nibble on delicious holiday treats made by the Johnson County Young Matrons.
A day that will make wonderful holiday memories for people of all ages!
