Greetings! I'm trying to figure out how we got here--arrived at this unprecedented place in our political landscape. Have we, as a nation, become unstable?...not thinking clearly? In the last election when Michele Bachman was spewing crazy allegations, Colin Powell stepped in to say, "We need to stop this nonsense." This election season Mitt Romney has tried to be the voice for reason. I know it's out there somewhere: Common sense, logical thinking, heart-centered rhetoric. One of our contentious candidates is said to be a man of the people but I don't identify with this "people." I'm really ashamed of the consciousness of our country that has allowed this low-level frequency of so-called leadership to emerge. What has gone wrong here?
