Getting started (or restarted) is such an exciting time. At least, sometimes. I like to get started on the things I enjoy, the things I'm invested in. I dread getting started on other things. What's your "dreaded" thing that seems to taunt you as you know it must be done, but you'll do just about anything to avoid? Sorting a closet? Starting the diet? Hosting a large family gathering?
It's like change. Sometimes I embrace change, and sometimes I avoid it. I like what I like, what reassures me and keeps me comfortable. Yet, when I'm ready for adventure (and can personally control it a bit), I'm all in!
It's the same with ministry. Perhaps you launched into this season of ministry with all kinds of excitement, but you're running into a bit of resistance. I'm challenging you this week to not just demand change but to actually be the change, and to consider other people every step throughout the change process.
