Hey, Hey, Hey Java friend!
I hope this has been a good week for you. Mine has been busy. Last weekend, I spoke at the
Women of Joy Conference in San Antonio and it was a huge blessing to me. I love those people - Phil and Debbie Waldrep and their whole team. And then, we drove from there to Houston where we hung out with our oldest son, Clayton, and his wife Caroline and their dog, Lincoln. It was only about 29 hours of being together but it was fun shopping, eating, walking, talking and sipping coffee together - and, I guess we did sleep a few hours? Can't remember!
So I was taking a tiny nap before I wrote this and a phone call from my doctor woke me up. She was giving me my blood work test results from my annual physical. And, you know what she told me? I was
deficient in Vitamin D! When I asked what the symptoms were, she mentioned one was tiredness... bingo! I yawned and said, "really?!" Yep. So, this girl will be popping some Vitamin D with my java today! (And, everyday!) I hope you, my java friend, are taking care of yourself. We all get busy and neglect the little basics that can make big differences in how we feel.
And speaking of feeling our best... we can all have days when we just don't feel good or like facing the day ahead.
That's why I am opening up my thought closet and sharing with you how you can face your day when you would rather turn your back on it. It's not as simple as popping a vitamin, but, it is effective and through Christ, pretty doable. So, if you felt like pulling the covers back up over your head this morning, or if you love someone who did... pour your java - and pour a big mug for them too -and drink in this encouragement.
Hope you have a restful, sunny weekend!
Blessings on you and your family!
