It's not easy to know exactly what we can or should share with others. Perhaps you've heard someone say (or said yourself), "What would someone think if they knew..." or "I don't care what anyone else thinks. I am who I am. Take me or leave me."
Doing life in the fish bowl of ministry can be tough. Our lives are on display, which means people feel as if they can comment on just about everything we do, say, and even think (because they think they know our thoughts better than we do). We can easily get overly sensitive or overly calloused. Neither is good for ministry or our faith.
Authenticity is essential to both ministry and faith. It's not about sharing everything with everyone but about being who God created you to be, fully embracing His will for you. How does that look in daily life? Today, I'm sharing an article, Authenticity Isn't Just About You, to challenge you toward authentic faith. Plus, at the end of the article is a tool you can use to assess your authenticity in several areas. I invite you to make copies and share it with your team!
