We are looking for volunteers to help us pour beer and sell wristbands at the Art, Beer & Wine Festival over Mother's Day Weekend!
Volunteer shifts are only 2 ½ hours long on Sunday, May 8th.

The job of crafting a balanced budget for California's new fiscal year could be getting harder by the day.
On Thursday, the independent Legislative Analyst's Office cast doubt on hitting Gov. Jerry Brown's predictions for this month's income tax collections.
"Based on what we now know, hitting the target seems unlikely," wrote analysts Jason Sisney and Justin Garosi.

New bill would give Californians three paid days of parental leave

A new bill in the California Assembly would give parents extra time off for their children's education.
Parents could take up to three paid days each year to enroll their children in school or help with other school-related activities under the legislation, which advanced Wednesday through an Assembly labor committee on a 4-2 vote.

Moody's: Texas can withstand next recession better than California

In the next recession, the Texas Miracle would prove more buoyant than the California Comeback, writes Moody's in a new report.
A fiscal-stress test by the credit ratings agency ranked the Golden State second-to-last among populous states for ability to mitigate the next economic crises. Missouri, Texas and Washington all respectively placed in the top three. California's weak rating came from high revenue volatility and low budget reserves and fiscal nimbleness.
