H.E. Mokhtar Chaouachi, the current representative of Tunisia to the African Union, has been appointed as the next Ambassador of Tunisia to the Washington, DC.
The 32-year career diplomat will not be a stranger to the United States, having served in New York for 9 years as a counselor of the Permanent Mission of Tunisia at the United Nations. Ambassador Chaouachi holds a Bachelor Degree in journalism and is fluent in English.
