Tennis Leagues
Register NOW! League Registration is now available to non-members that have not played in the leagues in the previous session. Members always get priority, but they started registering at the end of July. Any open slots are a great opportunity to lock in some regular play at a great facility.
There may still be a slot for a league to compete with players your level. Our leagues are internal, so we don't travel or play against other leagues/teams. However, you do get a great chance to play with a variety of players on a regular schedule.
As long as there is enough demand at a particular level to fill a league, we stick to the USTA NTRP levels. Therefore, it is possible for a new player rated at level for a group to get priority over another newly registered player that is rated below the level of the league.
Generally, our league coordinators are flexible when incorporating players into the mix when possible. The league coordinators are also amazing liaisons for the club and social directors for each league, insuring that everyone has fun playing at the club. They organize the schedule, keep track of the scores and select the format of play. Most leagues use a mix-it-up format rotating players each week to insure as much variety in the opponents that they play. However, thru experience, some have elected other formats, such as bumper league or another hybrid of half the season building points and then separating into two groups of players for the rest of the season. Thank you coordinators for doing such a great job taking everyone's concerns into account.
A typical 1.5 hour doubles league is $165 for a member and $330 for a non-member. Call the club at 301-262-4553 to discuss membership costs and benefits. For those of you that have never been here or haven't been in some time, come visit to see all of the changes at the club! |
