Booking Tips and the Big Event 2

Got a couple quick things for you today.

First, we have the second Big Event coming this Saturday from 5:30-9pm for adult players 3.5-4.0+, ranked juniors, high school and college players.  Contact Bob Detrich at RobertDetrich7@gmail.com if you'd like to be considered.  Payments will be accepted at the front desk at the event. $48/member and $58/nonmember  Play and drill at a high level with our Head Pro for the Elite Training program.

Second, we have a booking tip for those that have expressed concerns about the booking system for doubles vs singles.

Take Care,

Kevin McClure
Director of Tennis
BOOKING TIP 1:
When booking in the early morning and competing for one of the "day-of" reservations, there are a lot of other members booking open slots at the same time.  We've heard from some of you that every second counts and that you feel like singles bookings have an advantage because they only need to enter two names rather than four.

So, the way the system works is that when you click on the time slot that you are interested in booking, the system immediately puts the system in pending for a one hour block.  The minute you switch from Singles to Doubles, whether Walk-on or Advanced, the system switches over to a 1.5 hr block.

This is an example of how the first screen would look.

This is an example of how the second screen would look after you've switched the Singles drop-down to Doubles.

The quicker you switch from singles to doubles, the quicker the system puts an hour and a half in pending status until you complete your booking.

BOOKING TIP 2:
Additionally, to correct for some members ability to cheat the system (in the past) we had to require at least an 18 hour lead time to book an advanced court.  This means that if you attempt to book a court for the next morning and you've waited until the afternoon before, you may not be able to make the booking due to the 18 hour lead time.  Please call the front desk for clarification is this is not clear.

We hope that this helps the process.  No booking system is perfect, but we do want you to understand the system and insure our members have equal access to the courts.
