Law School Receives DOJ Grant for Domestic Violence Clinic  

The grant from the Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women will provide more than $250,000 over two years to expand the services of the clinic. Read more.


U.S. Senator Tim Kaine Addresses Virginia Coastal Policy Clinic Conference 

 The December 5 conference brought together national, state, and local leaders and experts to discuss the actions being taken to adapt to flooding and coastal change in Virginia. Read more.


Faculty Honors Epstein with Marshall-Wythe Medallion
Distinguished legal scholar Richard A. Epstein received the faculty's highest honor on Oct. 29. Epstein's books include Takings: Private Property Under the Power of Eminent Domain. Read more.


Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Prize Goes to Attorney Michael M. Berger
Michael M. Berger of Manatt, Phelps & Phillips was honored with the 2014 Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Prize during the 11th Annual Brigham-Kanner Property Rights Conference. He is the first lawyer to receive the prize. Read more.


Professor Rosenberg Appointed to Va. State Bar Board of Governors for the Environmental Law Section
Chancellor Professor of Law Ronald H. Rosenberg has been honored with an appointment to the Virginia State Bar Board of Governors for the Environmental Law Section. Read more.

The Black Law Students Association (BLSA) welcomed Will A. Gunn, former general counsel for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, for the inaugural lecture in the students' L.
