A Prayer for Believers in the High Places
(From Ephesians 1:15-23)
Lord Jesus, we want to thank You for our diverse family throughout the High Places. Ever since we heard about their faith in the Lord Jesus and their love for all God's people, we have not stopped giving thanks for them, remembering them in our prayers.
Glorious Father, we ask that You would give them a Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that they may know You better. We pray that the eyes of their hearts may be enlightened in order that they may know the hope to which You have called them, the riches of our glorious inheritance in Your holy people. May they understand Your incomparably great power for them as they trust you...the same power You exerted when You raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at Your right hand in the heavenly realms: far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
God, You have placed all things under the feet of Jesus, and have appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is Your body. May the fullness of Christ fill every believer from Afghanistan over to Burma. In Your name we pray, amen.
