Pray for a Revelation of Christ's Sacrifice to the Pashtun People
The Pashtuns are one of the largest Muslim tribal groups on earth, mostly residing in Afghanistan and Pakistan. The vast majority are unreached with the gospel. When we pray, we participate with God in his plan to reach them with the love and peace of Christ. "For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect. He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake." (1 Peter 1:18-20)
Father God, we embrace the Pashtun people with prayer. We ask that You would bring a powerful revelation of the cross through dreams, visions, angels and Your people. Let them see that the only blood sacrifice powerful enough to settle disputes is the blood of Your Son, and that Jesus' blood alone brings lasting justice and mercy to all humankind.
We ask that You would redeem "Pasthunwali," their code of honor, to reflect Your honor and purposes for them. As they begin to hear Your truth, may peace flood their souls and transform every heart, beginning with the tribal leaders and to entire villages and major cities.
We bind the deceiver from speaking lies to the Pashtun community, that keep them in bondage to fear, violence and retaliation. We say, "RELEASE these people NOW, in the name of Jesus."
Almighty God, we ask You to release a wave of Your Holy Spirit, that will chase them down in love and cast down every fear. We know that You have loved the Pashtuns before the creation of the world and we now ask, for their sake, that Christ would be revealed! We stand in awe of Your sacrifice and redemption!
