Pray for Provision, Protection and Educational Opportunities for Children
Statistic for you: Due to extreme poverty, parents are compelled to send their children to work as they are unable to feed their families. Recent studies estimate about 20% of children, between the ages of 5-14 have to work in order to survive. They are employed in drug-trafficking, sex work, and other hazardous labor. There is little or no opportunities for education (only about half of the population are literate). "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." And he took the children in his arms, placed his hands on them and blessed them. -Mark 10:14-16
Father God, we are so grateful that Jesus has given us the right to become Your children. We are amazed at how You love us so abundantly and care for us with such tenderness. You tend Your flock like a shepherd: You gather the lambs in Your arms and carry them close to Your heart (Isaiah 40:1.) We come to you on behalf of the children who live in the countries along the Hindu-Kush mountain range. Lord Jesus, would You gather these little ones in Your arms and bless them? You see every detail of their lives. We ask that You enter in to their poverty and distress by sending your people there who will teach the truth and love of the Father. We also ask for strategic laborers who are gifted with the ability to create educational opportunities as well as businesses to equip them for a fruitful life. We pray for peace within each family, and that You will give fathers and mothers creative ways to meet the needs of their children. May a "spirit of adoption" be poured out over the people of these lands, and may they receive the Kingdom of heaven into their hearts. We praise You, God of heaven and earth, that is Your pleasure to reveal the truths of the Kingdom to children. What we ask, is what You want; so we thank You for answering our cry on behalf of the little ones. In Jesus' name, amen.
