"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." (John 10:10)
Lord Jesus, we ask that You would bring justice to the people of Afghanistan. Every place where the enemy has caused deception in order to destroy, we ask for Your truth and light to conquer.
For the Afghani refugees, we pray for protection in the lands to where they have fled. May Your people in these countries reach out to them with compassion and understanding, showing these displaced peoples that there is a God in heaven who cares for their every need.
We pray for the leaders among the influential Pashtun tribe to have divine encounters with the sons and daughters of the most high God. We ask for dreams and visions to show them the all-sufficient power of Christ. As they begin to understand Your truth, we pray for immediate repentance and an irresistible draw to the cross to transform them, and in turn, transform the people they lead.
As the knowledge of Your glory spreads throughout Afghanistan, we ask for a blessing on the land. We pray that the opium crops that are grown to fund terrorism would be replaced with saffron and other viable crops to sustain the people's livelihood. We ask for protection over the farmers who seek to do what's right and that they would be given favor within their communities.
Lord, the blood of many lives cries out from the ground in Afghanistan. We agree together that they haven't died in vain. Bring redemption, heal the land, release peace and stability. We cover this blood, with Your blood dear Jesus. While many kingdoms have sought to conquer and possess Afghanistan over many centuries, today we cry out that Your Kingdom come and Your will be done on the earth as it is in heaven by the authority of Your blood.
Jesus, we stand in agreement with Your purposes in Afghanistan: to destroy the devil's power, and to bring abundant life to everyone! We love what You do and who You are, and we stand on this promise because of the power of Your name, amen.
