Jesus, we join You in intercession for Islamabad. We pray for all the governmental leaders who reside here that make decisions for Pakistan. We ask for Your wisdom to prevail and we cast down every thought and evil intent that would deceive them into choosing violence and intimidation as a way to govern. May the underpinning and support of militancy be bankrupted, so that men and women of peace could be heard.

We pray that you would raise up leaders who would promote life giving solutions and a peace that is sustainable. May they be given courage and supernatural favor to promote peaceful policies and laws. We ask for divine inspiration in creating programs that would educate and enable constructive conflict resolution within every community.

Lord God, "Righteousness and justice are the foundation of your throne; love and faithfulness go before you." (Psalm 89:14) We ask that you would give every citizen a desire for peace and righteousness: to turn their hearts and hope towards the Maker of all the earth. We ask that the message of the Gospel of peace would be heard and received with joy, and that injustice would not be tolerated.

May Your love and faithfulness blossom in the hearts of every minister, mayor and public servant so that the foundation of righteousness and justice can be established in Pakistan. We ask this in the name of Jesus, the One who is faithful and true! Amen.
