When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore,
to send out workers into his harvest field."
Jesus, compassion brought You to this earth to bring life out of what was dead. We thank You for continuing this work throughout the world through your disciples.
We ask that You would redeem the blood of the martyrs who have given their lives in this region over the ages by releasing many brave souls into the Hindu-Kush mountain range to bring the message of the gospel. Send them forth covered with a strong prayer shield and arm them with signs and wonders: driving out demons, healing the sick, and raising the dead. We also ask that You would give these harvest workers creative ideas to communicate Your compassion with practical help through economic opportunities as well as divine wisdom to give spiritual help.
Thank You for hearing us and for honoring the sacrifice of many who have laid their lives down for the Gospel in this place. We love You, and look forward to seeing multitudes born again into the Kingdom of light. Amen.
