Something New Brewing in Town

Norton Shores will soon be home to La Colombe and the manufacturing of a ready-to-drink coffee product. La Colombe will bring 37 jobs and a $11 million investment to the community.

The Philadelphia-based company will make its cold brew drinks at an established dairy factory on Norton Center Drive. While these products will be made in West Michigan, they aren't currently available in the state. They are sold online.

"We're excited to welcome La Colombe to the Norton Shores Industrial Park," says Gary Nelund, Norton Shores mayor. "This unique product, investment, and job creation is great for the city and the region."

La Colombe has been in business for 23 years, and has multiple cafes along the east coast, and in Chicago.
What A Summer!

This summer was filled with many great events and the first full season of the Pearl Mist cruise ship docking in the Port of Muskegon.

PEAK Training Academy Opens in Muskegon
A new high-level performance training facility has opened its doors in the former L.C. Walker Arena annex in downtown Muskegon.

PEAK Training Academy includes spaces for athletes to train for strength, conditioning and agility, as well as for specific sports such as basketball, hockey, golf and football.

PEAK is a state of the art training facility used by several West Michigan sports teams including the Muskegon Risers, Muskegon Lumberjacks, the West Michigan Ironmen and more. PEAK also offers training to local high school athletes and anyone else who is seeking a personal trainer.

Recently at PEAK, one of their affiliates, the West Michigan Ironmen made a big announcement that they will be playing in a new league in 2017, the Champions Indoor Football League (CIF).

The Ironmen are one of 16 teams in the CIF, with some teams as far away as Albuquerque, New Mexico and San Angelo, Texas. With such a wide market of teams, the Ironmen will carry the West Michigan image throughout the United States, bringing national attention to Muskegon and the surrounding areas.
