Dear Friends,

Spring is a great time to reinforce our healthy ideals, and who better to help us do that but our own member, Emrys Tetu, who is a Holistic Health Practitioner, wellness chef and yoga instructor.  So we've profiled her.  Along with that, we have an upcoming health lecture to tell you about.

This weekend promises to be a big one at our Co-Op.  We'll be celebrating our 2nd anniversary and holding our annual members' meeting.  With that in mind, please enjoy the coupon at the end of this newsletter, in honor of hitting our two-year mark.  We love all of the involvement we've seen these past two years, and the sense of community that is really coming together.  Let's keep it going and continue to grow!

A Look at Wellness with Emrys

By Kirsten Carbone

Emrys Tetu, a Holistic Health Counselor, chef and yoga teacher, not only emanates healthy living, she has been a member and a part of the Local Beet community since its start.  We love that in her counseling practice, Emrys likes to work preventively, but she also counsels reparatively to help clients address challenges and repair issues that are already out of balance.

Dr. Brian Clement will share 50 years of clinical research and human experience on the subject of disease prevention and life extension. He will explain how each of us can lengthen our life span and increase the quality of our health and well-being. His clinical research as Director of Hippocrates Heath Institute offers him a private understanding of how all people can prevent premature aging, disease and resulting unhappiness.

Dr. Brian Clement, Ph.D., N.M.D., L.N. has spearheaded the international progressive health movement for more than three and one half decades. He is the Director of the renowned Hippocrates Health Institute in West Palm Beach FL, the world's foremost complementary residential health center. Over the last half century, he and his team have pioneered clinical research and training in disease prevention using hundreds of thousands of participants who provided volumes of data, giving Dr. Clement a privileged insight into the lifestyle required to prevent disease, enhance longevity, and maintain vitality. Their findings have provided the basis for Hippocrates' progressive state-of-the-art treatments and programs, such as the Living Food Diet, Wheatgrass Therapy, Dark Field Microscopy, and the essentials of mind-body therapies for health maintenance and recovery.
