Hatzioni Runs Two Successful Sukkos Fundraisers
In the week leading up to Sukkos, Hatzioni, MTA's Israel Club, was busy at work raising money with two different fundraisers. Sophomore Reuven Penn organized a raffle to support Friends of the IDF. The grand prize was two tickets to see Maccabee Tel Aviv take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center. The money will go towards supporting "lone soldiers" currently serving in the IDF and families of fallen soldiers. Hatzioni looks forward to running similar raffles for Knicks and Rangers tickets later this year.
The club also teamed up with Sukkahscenes.com to sell vinyl posters of a chayal davening at the Kotel. Through the hard work of multiple club members, we sold out our entire allotment of posters. All in all, the sale generated $600 in sales, a portion of which will be donated to the One Israel Fund.
