Attn Parents: Dr. Whitley Lecture on Nov. 1
Dear parents,
As noted in an earlier email, thanks to the generous support of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew and Nancy Neff, alumni parents of MTA, we have invited Dr. Michael Whitley to speak to our parent body on Thursday, Nov. 1st. Dr. Whitley is a nationally known psychologist and the author of Bright Minds, Poor Grades: Understanding and Motivating Your Underachieving Child. Both his work and book focus on helping students overcome underachievement and discouragement while assisting parents in the development of strategies to support their children as they strive to reach their potential.
Dr. Whitley is scheduled to speak at 7:30 pm in the high school Library. If you have not done so already, we strongly encourage parents interested in this topic to attend. We urge you to RSVP to this invitation by October 18th in order that we may plan properly for this event by completing the form on our website.
Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you on November 1st.
Sincerely,
Seth Taylor
Principal for General Studies
