On Sunday, March 23rd at 10:30 a.m. at Playdrome in Toms River and Sunday, March 30th at 12:00 p.m. at Thunderbird Lanes in Manahawkin, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ocean County (BBBSOC) will hold their 14th Annual Bowl For Kids' Sake event, funds raised from this event helps to put caring mentors into the lives of children, and hope into their future.

On Thursday, April 24, 2014, United Way of Ocean County will be hosting its Fifth Annual
Young Altruistic Professionals (YAP) Awards at Hemingway's in Seaside Heights.
The YAP Awards are a unique event where Ocean County's most dedicated young volunteers and philanthropists will be honored for their hard work in making our community stronger. This year, United Way of Ocean County (UWOC) will recognize "Full-Time Professionals, Part-Time Heroes" ages 18 to 39 throughout Ocean County. Hemingway's will serve as the location for the event which includes: spectacular hors d'oeuvres, multiple raffles providing the opportunity to take home a fabulous prize, and much more.
