Greetings!

Hello from your friends at Bike Recycle Vermont! Here are some updates since we were last in touch.

We're extending our hours!

In an effort to make our services more accessible to folks who are busy during the day, Bike Recycle will lengthen our hours for the summer months. Effective June 1st, we will remain open to the public until 6pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Spread the word!

Our new hours:
Tuesday: 1-7pm
Wednesday: 1-5pm
Thursday: 1-7pm
Friday: 1-5pm

Bike Recycle Designs Returns to BCA

Summer Art Market!

This summer, Bike Recycle Designs will sell products at the Burlington City Arts Summer Art Market! An extension of the Burlington Farmer's Market, we will be in City Hall Park every Saturday through October.

Stop by and see the things we've created from recycled bike parts: inner tube earrings, spoke bracelets, tire belts, and more.

If you're interested in volunteering as a vendor at the market, contact Hannah at hannah@bikerecycle.localmotion.org.

Paul and Caitlin managing the front desk.
Featured Volunteer: Paul (and Caitlin)

Paul is a Boston native who made his way to Vermont by way of the Brandon Training School. In his spare time, Paul plays bocce ball, watches classic TV and movies, and serves as the president of a local self-advocacy group. Paul and his Community Inclusion Facilitator, Caitlin, come to work at Bike Recycle every week. Their focus is on customer service, and are at the center of the action during our open shop hours.

BRV:
What is your favorite part about volunteering at Bike Recycle?

Paul: I like talking with customers and helping Bike Recycle out. I like getting out in the community and making connections.
Caitlin: I like how happy it makes Paul. This program helps Vermonters travel in a way that is affordable and is good for the environment.

BRV:
What are you most proud of that you've worked on at Bike Recycle?

Paul: I was proud of myself when I handled the front desk when it was really busy.

BRV:
What have you learned since you've been coming to Bike Recycle?

Paul:
I've learned about helping customers, running the front desk, and dealing with money. I love it! I love this job!

Happy Trails!
