Dear DCRC Friends,

We hope you are having sunny, and bounce-filled summer.  Below are some important updates for this quarter!

  1. What's New at DCRC?  -  We have a new partnership with Conscious Discipline and some wonderful staff members to celebrate!
  2. Help us with our Research Studies! -  If you speak spanish or work with children at risk, we could use your help.
  3. A Look at the Revised Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework & Performance Standards  -  Making sense of the new learning outcomes framework and how it fits with the DECA program.
  4. You can be a Protective Factor for Children who Identify as LGBTQ - Take a look at how to foster resilience in children from the LGBTQ community.
  5. When is the Last Time You Did a Devereux Adult Resilience Survey (DARS)? - A focus on individual DARS items can really build your bounce!
  6. Spotlight on Professional Development - Building Capacity to Support Young Children with Challenging Behavior: Two Train-the-Trainer Professional Development Offerings.
  7. The Value of a Universal Approach - Universal prevention programs often prevent the development of problems in more children than those that focus more specifically on high risk children.
