 The 2nd annual Taste of Westshore presented by Shutts & Bowen Attorneys at Law will be held on October 7, 2012 at Hillsborough Community College (HCC). Enjoy unlimited tastings from many of Westshore's best restaurants, beer & wine tastings and entertainment at one all-inclusive price.

Westshore Master Plan Update
Work is progressing rapidly on the Westshore Master Plan. The plan will be complete early next year and will identify specific improvements to streets, sidewalks, parks, etc. that will foster new private-sector investment and create opportunities for economic development throughout Westshore. Our consultant will be presenting preliminary design concepts at the next master plan committee meeting on August 8 at 9 a.m. at the Westin Tampa Bay.  Be in the know when you're on the go! Alert Tampa is the city's official emergency notification system. As the City prepares to host the Republican National Convention, we are urging all citizens to sign up for the Alert Tampa emergency notification system that will send out details on developing events during the RNC. The city will continue to utilize Alert Tampa to keep residents informed throughout hurricane season and when other events take place in Tampa well after the convention. These time-critical notifications will be sent directly to your home phone, cell phone or email address. You will only receive alerts that affect the address you register. At the August 9 City Council evening meeting, Atlanta based Perennial Properties will request rezoning for a proposed apartment complex at 4310 W. Spruce Street. The proposal is for a 5 story, 255 unit apartment complex.
Tampa City Council recently approved a brownfield designation for city owned property at 4010 West Spruce Street, 1508 North Clark Avenue and 1550 N. Grady Avenue. The 19.1 acre parcel currently houses the City's fleet maintenance facility and solid waste department administration building.
Kuhn Automotive Group recently purchased the site of the former Days Inn and Green Iguana at 2520/2522 N. Dale Mabry. A rezoning hearing before Tampa City Council for the property is scheduled on September 13.
